Many worthy choices! I'm going to just stop at my first 100 selections, but there are certainly plenty to go for.
Interestingly enough, Comix: A History of Comic Books by Les Daniels came to mind while I was thinking about my list (it was the first book on the history of comics I ever bought) but when I sat down to type out my list I forgot to put it down.
