I enjoyed it much more than those awful tv attempts at Spidey, finding much more merit in this movie than I expected. Sure, it's not Dr. Doom in there, to be sure, but it held together as a film and generally worked well, IMHO. My big question, though, is whether or not I was capable of being objective about it. I'm looking for reviews from people open to the material who don't have any background with the characters. I'm intimately familair with who Reed, Ben, Johnny and Sue are at least supposed to be, and with only one viewing of it I can't discern how much character/relationship baggage I brought to the viewing and how much was really conveyed by the script and actors.
