When you want to go to the theatre, you want to get the best seats that you can. And when you consider the concept of supply and demand (not to mention the reduction of hassles) you're willing to pay a little more to get the tickets you want without having to jump through as many hoops. As long as you have a good source for the tickets you want.
2 Guys Tickets is your source for good tickets at a good price. They offer good tickets at prices that would be less than other ticket services, and they offer tickets in different cities. Whether you're looking for tickets by venue such as Electric Factory tickets in Philadelphia, or you're following your favorite performer on tour and want Britney Spears tickets, or you want to catch a Broadway show that's coming to your town and you need Jersey Boys tickets, they've got the tickets you're looking for. Whether you want to see a play, a concert, a sporting event, or any other event, there's a good chance they've got tickets for it. And they've got seating charts for most venues, so you can see where your seats are going to be.

Jim Hill Media has an article on the creators of the Disney Channel show Phineas & Ferb. I've never seen the show, but I like how the article talks about how kids should use creativity to make the most of their Summer vacation. And there's a guide for drawing their characters. Fun alternatives to watching TV and playing video games.
View Article  Comics This Week 7/2
Here's what greeted me as we came home this afternoon:
Astro City: The Dark Age Book Thee #3
Batman And Robin #2
Finding Nemo Reef Rescue #1
Irredeemable #4
Knights Of The Dinner Table #152
Marvel Divas #1
Muppet Show #4
Reborn #1
Savage Dragon #150
Terry Moore's Echo #13
Toy Story Mysterious Stranger #2
If you had asked me before what this week's pick would be, I'd say the new Knights Of The Dinner Table. But while I haven't read it yet, Savage Dragon is a serious contender for the cover alone. Erik Larsen has done the cover in the style of the old 100 page super spectaculars that DC did in the 70s. The only thing missing was more of them at the newstand. At a $5.99 cover price, wouldn't it be great if more of the comics we got were like that? I checked, and yes, there is at least a couple of reprints: The Golden Age Daredevil's origin, and the Savage Dragon issue 0.
View Article  Remote Access Software
If you have a business with computers in several locations, or you have a group of people connected in different locations you'd like to better connected and even have access to a computer in another location, particularly if there's a problem with one of them. It's a lot easier to be able to look at that troubled computer from your location instead of having to go to where it's at, where even if it were close by, it's still a bother. That's why it's handy to have this remote desktop software that not only allows you access to other computers in other locations, but can also do so securely. It's more and more important that your computers are secure and I'll bet the first question that came to mind when you first read about this software was thinking that it wasn't secure since it's letting another computer access to it. That's certainly not the case with the PROXY Pro 6 software. It's not allowing any computer access, just the ones you want to allow access. Not only that, but it employs 256-bit encryption – the highest in its class. So you can access any computer in your network for information or troubleshoot it without having to deal with the hassles of travelling to it (even if it's in the same building) all done with security encoded software.

We had to go out today to take care of some things for Kathy's brother. We ate lunch at McDonald's and we both tried the new Angus burger. It tasted good, but I don't know if it's worth $3.99. Maybe once in a while.
While we were out, I popped into Meijer to pick up a new surge protector. While there, I found a Marvel t-shirt for me and one for my nephew Mike who's birthday was Sunday but didn't find anything present-worthy until now. They also had 2 liters of Diet Coke on sale 10/$10 and 11th item free, and Diet 7-Up was also on sale for 88 cents. While we were visiting her brother, his fiancee had a top on that Kathy liked, and she said she got it at Fashion Bug. I had to pick up a couple of things at Kroger (which is in the same shopping center as Fashion Bug) so Kathy looked while I shopped at Kroger. They have a sale going on where you can get a clearance item for the regular markdown and get a 2nd clearance item for $5. She found a couple of things and we went looking at the shoes. As I've told you before, due to her unusual feet size it's hard to find her shoes, and we've been on the lookout for some dressier shoes. We found a couple that she liked, one was on clearance, but she didn't find a 2nd item for $5. But we're very happy that we found 2 nice pairs of shoes she can wear to church and other places.

View Article  McDonald's Introducing Angus Burger Nationwide
When we were down in Louisville earlier this week, I saw that the McDonald's down there had Angus burgers. I heard they were test marketing it in certain markets and wanted to try one out. But there's other places down there that caught our attention, so I didn't get a chance to try one. But I wanted to. But now it looks like I'll get a chance to try it. McDonald's is rolling it out nationwide starting today. I know, it's weird me talking about this after writing about trying to strike a balance and eating better. But this isn't something I'm planning to eat every day. And to give you an example of how we strive for a balance, we got some McDonald's last week, and it had been awhile since we last got anything there. I wanted a filet o fish (of course) and was debating what else to have with it. I thought about some fries, but opted to treat myself with a Big Mac. And Kathy only gets a small fry there anymore, but it's a treat. When we fix fries at home, we bake them in the oven and like it that way. And we have fewer fries than we did previously. As I said before, a big part of it is making adjustments.

One thing my wife and I have been doing as a result in trying to eat better and lose weight is to determine a new balance. When we started I said that we'd end up eating rice cakes and other blah foods, and not have anything good anymore. But it's learning how not to overdo it and to find alternatives (such as wheat instead of white breads, reading the labels, etc) that can help you eat something enjoyable without denying yourself which will end up making you want to pig out and be worse off than you were before. And you can even learn to achieve this balance even with Chocolate Candies so you're not just eating a bunch of chemicals and additives and not overdoing it.

Christopher Knight posted about this deleted scene from Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines that would explain some of the discrepancies in the Terminator timeline and make the last two films better. I agree. Along with Yoda's arrival on Dagobah in Revenge Of The Sith, this was a cut scene that should've been in the film. Here's the clip:

Many people (teens as well as adults) are troubled with acne. Trying to keep their skin clean, avoiding fried foods, following whatever suggestion their friends and family offer to get rid of the dreaded acne. Hearing about a different acne treatment practically every week and trying it, usually not much better off than they were before.
But here's an acne product that you might find offers a solution to your skin problem. Acne Complex presents itself as an acne solution that you've been searching for. It has helped others get cleared up and stayed cleared up in just a few weeks. And if you order from them now, you can lock in the price for Acne Solution. Since the Lord Of The Rings trilogy was released to theatres years ago, Hollywood has been scrambling to replicate that success. The latest effort from Rings studio New Line called Inkheart came out on DVD last week, and since the blu ray still has a "short wait" in my Netflix queue, I went ahead and rented it from Redbox since it's only $1 a night and it was a movie Kathy wanted to see. Since chances are either this is the first time you've heard of this movie, or you're saying "it's out on video now?", it didn't succeed in chasing that fantasy dollar. But it's worth a rental to check out. Brendan Fraser plays a man who finds out that he has the power to make whatever he reads appear nearby, as if pulled out of the world of the book itself. We pick up his story years later with his teenage daughter in tow as he scouts bookstores and book sales for a particular book. Why won't he read aloud anymore? And who's the mysterious stranger following him? Again, worth a Redbox rental to find out more.

We went out to pick up some things at the store. We were actually able to get everything on the list and a couple of extras and come within budget. That hasn't happened in a long time. Then we went to Kathy's sister's house where we gave her her birthday present and card that she really liked. Then we picked up some Long John Silver's for supper and then went home to put up everything.
The weather was cooler. It looked like it was going to rain and except for some sprinkles a couple of times, we didn't get any rain. It's actually nicer this way after last week's big heat wave went through. The only thing we have on for air more than cooling actually is a fan on low setting. We put a blanket on the bed for tonight and that ought to make it more comfortable. I think I would like this weather more than the upper 80s/low 90s we had before. Nice little preview for fall.
