There is so much out there that's online. Even with everything, there's something that you may feel is missing and that you'd like to bring to the internet. That's what's so good about the internet: that there's what the business books and classes call a "low entry barrier" that it's so easy for anyone to set up shop. Until you start reading about website set up and HTML code and all the technical jargon starts flying around that makes you say "never mind" in a small voice and forget about it, only recalling enough that it was a great idea that would've gone places.
But don't let that stop you. I started doing stuff online after reading a magazine article about how to set up your website that gave some simple commands in HTML that after some trial and error I was able to utilize. And it's a quick online search to find out what you don't know. But you wouldn't even have to go that far, some things to get online have buttons you can click on to do what you want, such as linking text, bold certain words, etc. And it's real easy to find web site hosting after you read these reviews of different hosting sites, and they're ranked on different criteria so you can easily find the right one for you. And they've got informative and interesting articles that aren't overwhelming like knowledge about web hosting that saves you the time and trouble of research and getting knocked around by real world applications. It's real easy to get online and this site can help you get started in more ways than one.

You don't need to read this blog to find out how tough the last year has been. Everybody has felt the pinch, from individuals to businesses to the largest corporations and some municipalities and state governments. Everybody's finding themselves in a bind and struggling towards a solution. One thing that helps me with whatever problem I'm facing is to do some detective work and get all the facts together about not only your situation, but possible solutions. One good source of information for those facing financial difficulties is this site about Debt Consolidation. They explain what debt considation is, what steps are involved, some helpful tips for you to find the right debt consolidator to work with, and what it will be like after debt consolidation. Even if you're not at the point where you're looking at options for your debt problem they have some helpful information that will give you insight into debt such as using credits cards. So no matter where you're at in your debt situation this website can help you with information and insight that will help you make your plan of attack against debt.

Good news everyone (especially Mark) It looks like the original voice cast for Futurama will be back to voice the new season. Like Mark and I thought, Mark Evanier's analysis on the matter was spot on.

If you're in the market for items for your family and don't want to go to one of those big box stores and want to support small business, then check out Lou Lou's Corner. It's a quaint store located in Hickory, North Carolina that likes to think of themselves as a toy box for the whole family. If you can't make it down to their neck of the woods, not to worry because they have a website you can shop at. It isn't as good as looking around beautiful Hickory, but it's the next best thing.
And if you're looking for designer baby clothes they've got a great selection that can make you forget they're designer with clothes by appaman. And if you're the type to want to add a little something with your gift, there's barefoot dreams with their stuffed animals and clothing line. Or if you want to go fully plush there's jellycat. And there's other clothes, toys and more for the whole family.

Last week the Comics Reporter asked people to weigh in on what comic books and comic strips they'd like to see reprinted. Here's the result. A lot of interesting choices, all books I'd love to see in a bookstore I went into. And there's probably more than that I'd want as well.

The holidays are coming up pretty soon and you're probably wondering what to give. One popular item is Visa gift cards. They're like cash, but you can use them like you would a credit card. And with money as a gift, I always say it's the right color and goes with everything. But if you give something like that as a gift, you probably wish there was something more of yourself that you can give as a gift. That's where customized gift card comes into play. You can upload a graphic to put on the card that can give it that special touch. It comes in handy if you're a business looking to give something to your employees or customers. But individuals can use this as well, as customization is provided at no additional charge and orders can range from 1 card to 100,000.

One of the amazing things about the internet is that there's something for every kind of interest. No matter how esoteric it is, there's sure to be something you can find online somewhere about it. And it's certainly conceivable that there are fans of cell phones interested in the latest news about cell phones, new ones entering the market, their capabilities, and more. One site that can help you keep up with the latest updates in cell phones is Search Mummy that comes out with interesting and fascinating articles about the latest cell phones and applications that are out there. Want to keep up with the new developments? Keep your eyes on this site, and they'll help you keep up.

The hedges outside were starting to look really bad again, and it wasn't that hot today, so I decided to go out and trim them. I also had to do a bit of pruning in some parts to get it into shape. And of course the sun decided to come out in the middle of all that work.
There must be a high pollen count out there today because I'm finding it a little harder to breathe and just feel out of it. My comics came today, but didn't give them much more than a cursory look. I tried to see if I could find out what the pollen count was on the Weather Channel site but couldn't find that information. It's just so frustrating because I don't feel like doing anything. Even laying down and resting doesn't sound good. But I am glad after I get the hedges trimmed by how good they look.

With the recent economic meltdown and bills passed by Washington to help people with credit cards, some credit card companies have responded by tightening up their credit offers to customers. It's a lot harder for people to get credit cards, and those who have credit cards are finding their rewards reduced and interest rates raised. You're probably thinking that you'll have to take what you get, but you may find that it's more beneficial for you to take a proactive approach to credit as opposed to a reactive one, as you may have done in the past.
With some detective work on your end, you may find yourself with better credit card offers than if you just responded to what was offered to you. Instead of hoping that you'll get offered something special, like rewards, a low promotional rate, or something else, you can go out and look for it. And if you have questions about dealing with Credit Card Debt and what you can do about it, they can help you with advice on that as well. If you're having problems paying your bills, contact your creditors, explain the situation, and see if you can negotiate a lower payment plan with them. Ducking the problem won't make it go away. And if you need help, this is one place you can go.

Even though you're being bombarded by back to school sales and it looks like Labor Day's coming up, you don't have to panic. Summer's still here and there's still time to enjoy it. You can still plan a getaway or vacation and there's lots of deals out there to help you save money and be able to enjoy yourself. Promotions like the Clarion hotel wall street promotions. You say you're not a business traveller? No problem, Choice Hoels has lots of different promotions to appeal to you, like their Clarion million dollar giveaway. Everybody could use a million dollars. And the best thing is it isn't one of those contests where you have to stay at their hotels to enter. You can enter once a day through their website. And their website is very handy for planning your vacation. You don't have to worry about going to different websites to try to find the best price. Choice Hotels offers their lowest internet rate guaranteed. You're not going to find a lower price for one of their hotels cheaper anywhere else. And you search for your choice of amenities to find the hotel you want. With them offering free wi-fi and pool at most locations, they've got a lot of what I want right there. And with the savings and deals they've got even more.

In today's fast paced world people are demanding that the products they use be not only durable, but easy to use. When it comes to dinnerware Corelle dinnerware sets certainly fit the bill. They've been in the business over 30 years that may not sound like a long time to some people, but their approach and philosophy to the products they offer has allowed them to thrive in this market, simply by finding out what customers want and providing it. Realizing that there was a market for dinnerware that was easy to clean, dishwasher and oven safe, ightweight yet durable, break, chip, craze spot and fade-resistant under normal use; and affordable yet attractive, Corelle came on the scene in 1972 offering that very type of product. Not only that, but they back up their products with a guarantee to replace any dinnerware that broke, chipped, stained or cracked within the first two years, without requiring proof of purchase. And they continue to offer dependable and easy to use and clean dinnerware that can fit any decorating style. So if you're looking for yourself or someone who needs a set you're sure to get a great price and even greater set of dinnerware and cookware from Corelle.

Mike Sterling has a couple of good links in his post this morning. First up is the latest installment of Nobody's Favorites featuring a character from New Teen Titans that nobody likes (and my guess was correct!). Next is a new comics blogger hueysheridan who's just started but already has some interesting posts including his thoughts about Marvel's acquisition of Marvelman.

We're getting to the time of year when the farmer's markets start popping up around here. You can usually find fresh fruits and vegetables that taste better than what you usually get at the store and you're helping out the local market in your area. But if you're in the mood for such product and you either don't feel like driving around or you're wanting something that can't usually be found at those markets like Dried Cherries and other dried fruits and vegetables, then you should check out the product available from Bella Viva Orchards. Not only do they sell fresh and dried fruit, nuts and chocolate to customers at stands in northern California's farmer's markets, in select restaurants, best of all they sell online to customers across the country. The dried fruits that they offer include include oranges, cherries, apricots, peaches, pears, persimmons, nectarines, plums, apples, grapes, figs, lemons and more. Not only that, but they offer a variety of nuts and chocolates, all packaged in attractive gift baskets or tasty combinations such as trail mix and more. So if you're in the mood to sample some local product from a different part of the country you can do so from Bella Viva Orchards.

Used to be if you were going somewhere and wanted to know what there was to see, do and eat you'd have to wait until you get there and rely on the brochures in the hotel lobby or whatever you encounted if you went out and looked around. But I've always been a bit anxious and wanted to be able to find out before I got there. Now you can look up any city or town you're travelling to, such as, say, Wimberley Texas and find out what all there is to do in that town. Hill Country Visitor is a handy guide to the different communities in Texas that can tell you where to find lodging, things to do, dining, shopping or anything that would make your visit to that particular town more enjoyable for you. I guess they figure that the larger cities do a good enough job getting the word out about stuff to do, as the list of towns from the pull-down menu is mainly towns that I hadn't heard of before. If you're wondering what to see and do in Austin or Houston you'll need to go elsewhere, which I imagine you can do on the internet. You've heard that they grow everything big in Texas, but it's good to find out that the state isn't as overwhelming and bombastic as you would think from that boast. It's a big enough state that there's something for everybody to be found there, and Hill Country Visitor can help you find it.

Had to take Kathy in to work today, and went back to bed afterwards (it was 5am, okay?) I was woke up before 9 when the power went out. I know when the power goes out because I have a surge protector that stores back up power for about an hour (depending how much you use it) and it beeps when the power goes out. I reported the power outage and tried to go back to bed. The power came back on about 15 minutes later. Then I couldn't get online. Nothing looked amiss on the box. Turned on the XBox 360, was logging in there. Found out my internet cable was loose, and was back in business.

If you've spent any time online, you've seen how you can access certain documents online that are in the .pdf format. It's an easy way to get a publication or coupon that you can print up on your printer. And you've probably had a couple of ideas of having your own .pdf files of your own, or maybe want to convert pdf to word so you can read it in Word. But you probably thought it was too complicated, and gave up on making your own .pdf files and converting them.
But you don't have to feel that way anymore, and like a lot of other things you do on the computer, it's easier than you'd think. With PDF Writer/Reader you can have a pdf creator and editor that you can use. Imagine offering publications to people that can save printing costs and the lost opportunities from people who want it now as opposed to sending away for it. With this pdf maker your creativity and opportunities will grow, thanks to this tool that makes the technical aspects easier.

TV Squad had a post up about Late Night With Jimmy Fallon's visit to Comicon, where Jimmy was plugging his creation the Recharger. Guest starring Jon Favreau, Stan Lee, and the cast of Lost. We watched it and Kathy pointed out a complaint that like a lot of news reports they emphasize people who dress up at these conventions, which very few people actually do. But the reporters still insist that's what happen at these conventions (all evidence to the contrary) as Mark Evanier points out.

I went out because the Green Lantern animated movie came out on video today. As I hinted the other day, I prefer DC's animated output to Marvel's (any idea when they're going to do the New Teen Titans' "The Judas Contract" storyline?) The main reason I was going to buy the video as opposed to renting it from Netflix was because Best Buy had an exclusive figure packed in with it. As with Wonder Woman, it's a DC Infinite Heroes sized action figure of the Hal Jordan Green Lantern. And since I was out and about anyway, I went ahead and picked up a few of the specialty food items for Kathy so we won't have to do the extra travelling next time we go shopping. And she is feeling a lot better, and was sleeping better last night. That alone makes that expensive prescription worth it.
