Here's some of the interesting things I ran into while out and about on the internet today. One was checking Fred Hembeck's blog for updates. His individual posts aren't link enabled (his MySpace page is, but there's no illustrations he links back to his page. Plus, it seems like MySpace pages take forever to load on my computer, and they're owned by Fox, and sooo 2004, so....), so scroll down to the August 13th entry. There he re-did the Big Jim's P.A.C.K. ad that he thought was done by Jack Kirby. Then on the August 18th entry, he got a lot of responses on that entry, mainly by people who remember the original toys. One person, Richard Bensam, pointed out that while Kirby did the package designs, he didn't do that ad. It was done by Bill Stout with Kirby's blessing. So I was checking Bensam's Blog Estoreal which is an interesting mix of comics and other things. One of his posts had a link to this Simpsons story done manga style.
And Almost Frugal has 5 tips to save money in the bedroom. More than just money tips, it's the idea of setting up your bedroom as your refuge, your escape from it all so you won't have to seek retail therapy.
