Paul Harris writes about a New York Times article describing a luxurious perk for members of the House: car leases with very high prices (one goes for almost $1000/month). One representative defended his Cadillac by saying he offers his constitutents rides in it and wants them to feel comfortable while discussing concerns with him. That's gotta join "I am not a crook", "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" and "Mission Accomplished" on the list of great political bulltish. And who pays the lease as well as the maintenance, gas, etc. Think they're worried about the increasing cost of gas?
