I just go away for the day, and everything goes nuts. First, I read about this pinskinhead plot to assassinate 88 people, including Sen. Obama. And then comes the news that our old friend Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska was found guilty in his trial. And even though he's up for re-election next week, even with the turning of the tide, it doesn't look good for his chances.
Again, a reminder: make sure your registration info is all in order, take ID to the polls, even if your state doesn't require it. And if they try to make you vote provisional, don't let them. Demand your right to vote. Go up the chain of command. Call 866-GET-VOTE and your local paper and TV station. Sometimes all you need to do is stand up to a bully.
