Dear Subway,
I usually don't buy drinks with your subs, so your coupons that require me to buy a drink to use it doesn't save me squat. I might as well go to Quizno's.
sincerely,
Tony

I've uploaded all the Thunder Over Louisville pictures I could before hitting my monthly limit. I have about 14 left that I'll upload when my limit is reset, if I do it. Depends on the interest.

Since Saturday, I've been out of it. I have uploaded some pictures to my Flickr account of Easter dinner at my sister-in-law's house, the Big Fat Geek Bachelor Party (all 3 of them) and some of the wedding itself, up to Tammy's arrival. I have about 50 of the wedding (not to mention Thunder Over Louisville) to go. Kathy said somebody wanted pictures of the bride and party's arrival by horse-drawn carriage, permission is hereby granted for whomever to get whatever pictures. More pics and report to come.
Update 4:23pm: I've posted more photos. For some reason, Flickr has 2 categories, and pictures for the wedding can be seen here and here. I should have them all up by now, or by the time you read this. Update 2: All the wedding photos are up and should be all here now. Saturday, April 21

I'm coming to you from the courtesy computer in the lobby of the hotel I'm staying at for a friend's wedding. I'm here at this late hour because of all the directions I brought with me, I forgot the printout for the directions to the wedding! D'oh!! Fortunately, I was able to recall the site with the info to pull it up, and more fortunate print out directions.
I went to the bachelor party, which I am sorry to say may be more lame for you to read about than the last paragraph was (even if you could hear the karoke from the nearby bar as I type this) I got to make the acquaintance of best man (in more ways than one) Nate Clark, and all 3 of us played Heroclix, saving Highlander from tying a porkchop around his neck. Nate had to play the Batman team ability which basically means that if any pieces are on any objects, they're considered hidden with some exceptions that didn't apply to me except for a "trick shot" card I applied to Bullseye. He paid dearly though, by rolling 3 snake eyes, which doles out damage to the attacker when that happens. But it wasn't enough for me to prevail. I only took out his Batman and Batgirl and their feat cards. I'm sure if you keep an eye out on Highlander's site, he'll have the gory details up. But he's gotta get married first. Well, it's late, I'm tired, feeling a little sad that I can't spend more time with my friends, and a disattached listening to Karoke will drive you crazy real fast. Good night. Thursday, April 19

The matter I spoke of earlier has been resolved, and a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulder. Afterwards, we went to a soda fountain where Kathy got her Chocolate Soda that she always wanted, and we finally decided to eat lunch there. I had a double bacon cheeseburger with fries, and she had a breaded chicken with fries. Then we went to the WallyWorld to get batteries for the digital camera (got the rechargeable kind) and a bag of popcorn for...
Now comes the getting ready for the trip back to Louisville this weekend. Bags are being packed, snacks getting ready, folding chairs to see the fireworks, reading material, etc. Although we're not going to see as much of our friends as we usually do on these trips (they say they're getting married! I think they're getting stuck up) so we'll be staying in the hotel where we can swim and use the whirlpool (Kathy saying it isn't likely she will, but when we met everybody last year, where was she? In the pool!) and have planned up a geek tour, including another stop at Book and Music Exchange with a bag of books and videos to trade for credit, Great Escape, and checking out Secret Identity Comics, which wasn't open last time I was down. |
