The weather in my neck of the woods took it's inevitable turn for the worse, with cold and rain and gloom throughout the day. I've often said that no matter how bad things seem to you, they don't seem as bad the next day. That may be true, but I'm still down. Unless something else is wrong with JoJo, I might be able to squeak by, and still make a trip to see some good friends next month (with some belt tightening). Unfortunately, there's a couple of other things that due to the specific circumstances I'd rather keep to myself, but they're certainly not helping my mood.
If any of you have any words of encouragement you could leave in the comments or e-mail (for those that have my e-mail address), I'd appreciate it. I was hoping to snap out of this, but I haven't been successful. I hate to ask, but I can't think of anything else to help right now.

Re: Still Down
....But not out! When things seem really bad, indulge yourself in some of the things that give you the small, simple pleasures... like the company of family/good friends, a great book/comic or movie. It may not seem like much, but I've been in that rainy gloomy mental clime (and visit often), and it does help lift the oppressive blanket and let a little light in.
My good thoughts and best wishes are yours! Mark Re: Still Down

How about this to cheer you up: Your blog is very good. Thoughtful, well written, striking just the right tone, and including the occasional interesting insight. I don't read comics as much as I used to, or see movies as much either due to my schedule and the quality of product, but it is interesting to here your take on them, and your occasional comment on current politics as well. Take pride in that.
