Had to fill up the vehicle today. Gas was $2.709 a gallon. Unlike some bloggers, I'm glad that I was so wrong.

View Article  Bruno Kirby RIP
Actor Bruno Kirby, from such films as City Slickers and When Harry Met Sally, died Monday in Los Angeles from complications related to leukemia.
Another movie he was good in was The Freshman, which can be disconcerting if you saw this film before Godfather Part II, which he also appears in and like former movie mentioned trades on the latter.

Over at Kung Fu Monkey they've got a clip up from The Daily Show that John Rogers says would make Bill Hicks smile from above. In the comments section it was brought up that some have accused Denis Leary of stealing paying homage to Hicks' act. On comment recalls this joke that made the rounds about the topic:

Q: Why did Denis Leary become famous and Bill Hicks didn't?
A: No cure for cancer.

First, Suzanne Pleshette is being treated for lung cancer. Like many people, my first thought was "what're the odds?" Fortunately, she is doing well. But the reason I bring this to your attention is at the end of the article it mentions she's been married to Tom Poston since 2001.
Second, we're getting the second season of Doctor Who sooner than expected. Try next month. September 29th, to be precise. And yes, we're getting The Christmas Invasion as one of the first episodes.
