Another Saturday, another early drop-off of the wife to work, and I can't sleep. So I'm toolin' around the internets.
Wanted to write about the show we saw last night called Life On Mars, and import from Britain currently showing on BBC America about a detective in 2006 who, after a traffic accident, ends up in 1973. The song "Life On Mars" by David Bowie is playing on his iPod and then his 8 track, hence the title. If you check out the link above written by DonBoy, it points out that there are some cultural differences, such as jokes not immediately apparent to us Yanks, and that Britain was more different 33 years ago than we were. But hell, if I can wade thru Urusei Yatsura that had each tape come with Cliff Notes...
Also, I'm reading this article by Hugh MacLeod called "How To Be Creative". Worth checking out, even if you don't think you are creative.
