One of the varied things in my life that threatened to bite me on the ass has appeared to have done so. One of the wife's teeth (or remainder thereof) that has been troubling her developed some swelling on the gums around it yesterday. It's gotten better today, but what I've read online (and the problem's she's been having with it) lead me to believe that waiting until I get a job and dental insurance will not do. I've been looking into a practice that my parents go to, fortunately they have a web site, seem able to take care of it all, and have a coupon for new customers for a free visit and x-rays. Further investigation led me to a dental plan I'm going to see into that brings down the price on most dental procedures.
But they don't open until tomorrow morning, so I've had to go through this weekend worrying about all that, plus trying to get an appointment ASAP that fits her work schedule, find out what it's going to cost, trying to work out something to pay it, etc. And while it won't interfere with the first trip we have planned as we're going as guests of my parents, I hope it doesn't mess up the second one. Trip? I hope my wife will be all right. Please please please...
Best wishes, prayers, thoughts, mojo, etc. are much appreciated and needed.

Re: Dental Problems
Augh. Dental problems are worse than car problems. Good luck to the two of you!
Re: Dental Problems
Poor, poor thing. Dental pain is so much worse than so many other kinds. I don't envy her at all!!
Something to consider...Our local university has a dental school where they do any number of procedures for little or no cost. I don't have a lot of info about it. My ex used to get work done there before we got married. I've known a few others in the same situation. Not sure if one of the larger colleges in your area may have a similar set up, but if not, I know River City U still does it. If you're gonna be in the area anyway...let me know if you want any info that I may be able to provide. Good luck and I hope you are able to make both trips, but I understand if circumstances won't allow it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and DEFINITELY sending plenty of mojo your way. Mike Norton's just wasting the mojo I was sending him anyway...;) Re: Re: Dental Problems

Thank you, from both of us. Actually, she isn't in pain, just an occasional ache.
I should have an update up soon, busy with a couple of things. Trackbacks
