"Here's how it works: the president makes decisions. He's the Decider. The press secretary announces those decisions, and you people of the press type those decisions down. Make, announce, type. Just put 'em through a spell check and go home. Get to know your family again. Make love to your wife. Write that novel you got kicking around in your head. You know, the one about the intrepid Washington reporter with the courage to stand up to the administration. You know -- fiction!" - Stephen Colbert

Lucasfilm is releasing 2 disc sets of the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD, containing the 2004 versions and the original released versions.
I would've preferred the 1997 special edition versions instead of the ones already on DVD, as well as the deleted scenes (the Luke with his friends, Han and his girlfriend Jenny, etc. that were only previously released on a CD-ROM awhile back) so I dunno if I'll be lining up for this yet. I've been following online the story of the alleged sexual assault that occured at Mid Ohio Con. The Comics Journal has an excellent overview of the case, and the name of the alleged attacker. At the end of the article they say that it's up for a limited time, so you may want to go there while you still can. The Comics Reporter has links to the story and the reactions here.
While the alleged behavior is inexcusable, I wish to note I have a concern with people who had been erroneously linked to this story based on the scant information that was previously released; as well as the accused, whose guilt or innocence has been decided by some already, including those who used "phraseology disturbingly redolent of an archetypal witch hunt", as the Journal put it.
