Saw Serenity last night. Loved it. Was way better than other science fiction movies *Koff*Prequels*Koff*. Joe Bob says check it out, even if you haven't seen Firefly. I would tell you to either get the DVDs or watch it Fridays at 7 on Sci-Fi Channel, but you'll want to do that anyway after seeing it. You don't need to in order to enjoy the movie, but it enhances it if you have. In fact, a line of dialogue of a sexual nature that would ordinarily offend my Chrisitian wife produced a reaction of "I can't believe she said that" because of the familiarity with the characters. BTW, the headline was inspired by her slight change of the nickname for the movie.

This is likely on my schedule for this weekend, having given most of the Firefly marathon Sci Fi ran on Tuesday a watch. Taken in a concentrated burst it was much more compelling than the single episode I'd caught on FOX (the "Jaynesville" one) and a couple fragments here and there. At the time my reaction was purely cynical, as too many of the characters in the show seemed "loaded" with secret pasts. Now I have a much better grasp of the characters, and I'm hoping for a goiod ride with Serenity.
