I have applied to 16 jobs this week online, incuding Monster.com, where I signed up this week. I like their site better than Career Builder, as it allows you more easily to include a cover letter. I even got a call back yesterday for one of the places, the only thing is it's for a CSR job, and I'm not sure if I want to go back to my old line of work. I might concentrate my efforts more on accounting. I got another call today from someone wanting me to come in for an interview, but it was from seeing my resume online, and they said it was for sales. I don't want to be picky, but I don't want to work in sales (high rate of rejection and uncertain cash flow) or in taxes (don't want the numerous hours during tax season, unless I was off the rest of the year) but am open to anything else.
I also got set up to print envelopes and send out resumes and cover letters from home. Applied to 3 different positions today. And was able to arrange to survive the next 2 1/2 months financially if I have to, so hopefully I'll have some more free time (the one I wanted most) before starting another job, that'll end up a blessing as Mike Norton suggested.
