Chuck Lorre's company is the one responsible for bringing you Dharma and Greg and Two And A Half Men. What is interesting is that he uses his end credit screen to say whatever's on his mind. The most recent was to address the hypocracy about showing live vs. dead nude bodies.

A while back, DirecTV offered a deal where you could order the movie The Village by M Night Shamalangadingdong for only 99 cents. Finally got around to watching it yesterday.
I want my 99 cents and hour and 45 minutes of my life back. And today at work, I find out my request to have all Saturdays off instead of alternate Saturdays was denied. The manager said the company couldn't do it. Oh, well, it could be worse (hang in there, Doc). I'd be a bit more up the creek if I no longer worked, especially with the Visa folks. Saturday, March 12

The wife was watching "CBN News", a quick between the shows news program from
The news clip is saying that they're instructing teachers, after children answer the question "What is a family?" with traditional answers such as "mommy", "daddy", "brother" or "sister", to mention other possibilities, and at that point introduce homosexuals and proceed with the "agenda". I went to their website and did further study. They allow the study guide to be downloaded as a PDF. I read it through and do not see any mention of homosexuality whatsoever. In fact, here's the section CBN was referring to, from the Teachers' Guide: "Then, ask the class to share ideas on whom they think can be found in a family. The common responses will be "a mommy", "a daddy", "a sister", or "a brother". Ask further questions of the class if they only give these traditional answers. You may say "Just like we saw in the video there can be a lot of different members of a family, and I think we might be forgetting some other people like an aunt, an uncle, a grandparent or a favorite pet." I think CBN should brush up on their journalism, as well as the 10 Commandments, particularly the one about bearing false witness. It's a lot more than something you can use to further your agenda (pot to kettle: you're black), as when you rail against the government for saying "hey, to make sure there is freedom of religion, maybe we shouldn't look like we're endorsing any particular one". And hey, spread the word on this, if for no other reason than to stem the spreading the lies in this age of repeat something enough times, and people will accept it as the truth.

Saddened to hear that Dave Allen has passed away.
His show was a good complement to Benny Hill, that was syndicated about the same time. Benny even did a skit about Allen's trademark telling of jokes about certain faiths or ethnicities. As the audience became more agitated in this sketch, some of the backstage personnel came out to try to help restore order. Benny-as-Dave decided to tell a joke that wouldn't offend by telling one about fairy folk. As he started, the stagehands started doing exagerated gay mannerisms and mincing speech saying "what if we are fairies?" Benny-as-Dave looks up and cries "My God!" and a sky-light falls down. He immediately replies "I was just kidding!" Even Allen himself was not immune to his jokes: in addition to jokes about Catholicism, he even made a couple of jokes about his shortened index finger, one about it occuring because he stuck his finger in his drink all the time, and another about as a child, as other played Cowboys and Indians with hands as six-shooters, he had a sawed-off shotgun. He will be missed. Perhaps BBCAmerica, or someone else, will show Dave Allen At Large again. Thursday, March 10

Got a special offer from Best Buy, being a Reward Zone member, where I could place a pre-order on the upcoming Sony PSP Playstation portable. Despite forgetting my password for Best Buy (different than Reward Zone password) I got it and was able to put in an order. Selected getting it overnighted, as I will be off work the day after release (March 25th)
However, the order gives an ETA for delivery of March 14-15th. I know some of the games are being released that day. Wouldn't it be cool if I got it then by mistake? Stay tuned... Thursday, March 3
