One of the things that gets me through Mondays, the roughest day of the week in my line of work, is knowing that an episode of Robot Chicken is waiting on the TiVo. It's Twisted ToyFare Theatre from ToyFare magazine come to life, by one of the people involved (Matthew Seinreich?) and Seth Green. Yes, that Seth Green.
The episodes get better and better. Last Sunday's had "Twist Ending Theatre", where they take on The Crying Game, The Empire Strikes Back, The Village (echoing more or less what I said earlier) and Sleepaway Camp, even making a self-referential joke about it's obscurity. Also on hand was Beavis and Butthead joining the (cartoon) Teen Titans, and a Peanuts Great Pumpkin skit with satanic overtones.
Still on deck and looking forward to it: the Kill Bill skit with Jesus and Santa Claus playing the Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu parts.
Sunday late night on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim. Joe Bob says check it out!
Update: Franklin Harris wrote a review.

Well, Mike, since you asked...
I ended up getting 4 other PSP games to play with my player. In addition to Spider-Man 2 (played through it in a couple of days, actually didn't get stuck on a level as in the past 2 movie games, basically a rehash of those previous games), I got: Twisted Metal Head On-finally sat down to play it last night, got queasy after a couple of matches, which is weird. I usually have the same problem with first person shooters. Untold Legends-just did a quick check out, why do these RPGs have to have you fighting spiders? Ridge Racer-Very enjoyable, great graphics, actually have learned to drift (going around a curve fast) without skidding all over the place. Darkstalkers-Supposed to have all 3 Darkstalkers games. Did one run thru. Friday at 4pm kicks off my vacation, staying at home, planning to rest, read books, watch DVDs, play video games. And how's by you? Thursday, March 24

According to Best Buy, they shipped the PSP yesterday. Paid for overnight shipping, hopefully will get it today. I left a note on my front door to go around to other front door (the front door most people unfamiliar with the layout goes upstairs, that's not used at this time) and if a signature is needed to go next door. Hopefully they'll just leave it and I can get it after work.
Last night picked up the Spider-Man 2 game at Wally World to have a game to play, just in case. I get paid tomorrow and plan to get more games, unless they're sold out. Update: Just called home on my break, and the wife said it was there! Hoody Hoo! Monday, March 21

Chuck Lorre's company is the one responsible for bringing you Dharma and Greg and Two And A Half Men. What is interesting is that he uses his end credit screen to say whatever's on his mind. The most recent was to address the hypocracy about showing live vs. dead nude bodies.

A while back, DirecTV offered a deal where you could order the movie The Village by M Night Shamalangadingdong for only 99 cents. Finally got around to watching it yesterday.
I want my 99 cents and hour and 45 minutes of my life back. And today at work, I find out my request to have all Saturdays off instead of alternate Saturdays was denied. The manager said the company couldn't do it. Oh, well, it could be worse (hang in there, Doc). I'd be a bit more up the creek if I no longer worked, especially with the Visa folks. |
