Oh, before I forget, even though chances are neither one will see it, I wanna wish a happy 39th birthday to both Kiefer Sutherland and my brother Adam. Unfortunately, I just checked and I thought both were born the same day, but Kiefer arrived a day early. But today's is Ralph Finnes and perennial Garry Marshall film star Hector Elizondo. Like they'll see this, either.

Just saw the Thursday edition that had a school teacher with her students in the audience to cheer/guide her on. They are now asking people togo on their website to apply for the show which involves sending a 5 minute videotape of yourself and your "support team". Which reinforces what Jerry Smith said earlier in his comments about the show.
Fortunately, I am now watching Bill Hicks Sane Man, which is serving as a mental colonic.

Mark Evanier has written about the second night of Deal Or No Deal. And for those of you who can't get enough, here's the home game!

Last night watched the first episode of a week-long (and NBC hopes even longer) series called Deal Or No Deal. Premise is there's 26 suitcases held by 26 models, each containing a prize ranging from 1 cent to 1 million dollars. Contestant picks one that's their prize and selects others to eliminate what remains. At certain intervals a "banker" calls the host Howie Mandel (looking more like my brother than you might remember him) calls with an offer to take the money and run, or go on.
Mark Evanier and Gary Sassaman have wrote about it in their blogs. Although Gary has some good points, I have to give it Mark, as he made the same comparison I did to the old game show Treasure Hunt.

I got online tonight to find the sad news that Richard Pryor passed away today.
To commerate the occasion, I put on the CD ...is it something i said? I selected it because it had one of my favorite routines "Mudbone--Little Feets". But ironically, it starts with the routine "Eulogy" which begins:
"We are gathered here today on this sul-fur (sic) occasion to say goodbye to the dearly departed. He was dearly, and he has departed. Thus, that's why we call him the dearly departed. In other words, the n----- dead." Although he was famous for, among other things, using the N-word, I point to the "Here and Now" movie/recording where he chronicles his visit to Africa where he learns why that word is truly evil and declares he wouldn't use it again. I would humbly suggest our African-American brothers and sisters who use that word would listen to that routine.

Someone called the Webcomics Examiner Advisory Board have selected the best webcomics of 2005. So far, the ones that have caught my eye are Smile and the comics from Beekeeper Cartoon Amusements.
