Here's an article about an organization that Ralph Nader would be against if he wasn't behind it. Link courtesy Jacob Levy via Captain Spaulding (who thought it was so nice, he posted it twice)

An excellent alert, though other biases in the piece are strong. It would have been far more effective if the author stuck to the underlying alert to the public and apparent hypocrisy of Nader being involved in organizations that attempt to either pick the pockets of if not rob at gunpoint people seeking an education. That part is what people need to know.
However, the author shows he has an unrelated, partisan axe to grind as he keeps leaning with intended irony on the PIRGs' "apolitical" label as it lists examples that suggest that any recommendations against such things as the drilling of ANWR, the weakening of forest protections, advocates for tougher CAFE standards are blatantly political. This is similar to the GOP's insistence that Congressional resistance to backwards-looking judicial nominees are nothing more than partisan obstructionists. Thanks for bringing this piece, in all its colors, to my attention, Tony. Mike N. Trackbacks
