Here's a link to a website that J. Michael Straczynski has recommended that analyzes his current "Sins Past" storyline. Also discusses the timeline, positives and faults, etc. As Joe says, you can't fault it's logic.
Say what you will about it, but it's got me anxious to find out what happens next. It's moved up from my "save the best for last" approach I take for good stuff to "read the best right now" The last issue that came out Wednesday was read as soon as I got home.

I printed up the articles Mark pointed out, Tammy's response, and most of the responses from Tony Isabella's message board to give to Kathy. We read through the responses. I believe we got through on the abortion issue, but she is still saying how we handle the issue of gays will be judged by God. I am still arguing for compassion and equality. Please pray for us.
And we sat down to watch Fahrenheit 9/11. I answered her questions and tried to get her to understand the points being raised. After it was over, she asked "can I leave my vote for President blank?" YES!!! For her, this is a major beachhead. I will continue to let her know what Kerry can do for the country, but at least it won't go for W. Indiana is going red, that's taken for granted, but at least W won't have her vote. Thank you all for your help, and good night.

Thanks for the replies in my last message, especially here (start of replies).
Encountered this article at Slate about Bush and faith that is balanced and reasonable. I was directed to the site in the first place by Mark Evanier, who referenced a poll tracking column of theirs' that has Bush winning with less Electoral Votes this time.

Okay, one last thing, but it has more to do with theology than politics.
I am still trying to talk my wife out of voting for Bush. I've been able to steer her away from the Herman Munster jokes and flip-flop parroting what the media has reported. Fortunately, she does show signs of independent thought when talking to her on most matters. However, she has stated that her voting for Bush is a principled stand based on his stance against abortion and gay marriage. The abortion issue is due to her deep faith, I have explained Kerry's position per the second debate (he is personally against it, but he is more for the will of the people than forcing his personal views as the law of the land) It is the latter issue I'm wanting to ask y'all about. Yes, I know that Bush has said he would support civil unions, but I doubt that would work. I even showed her a copy of the "Dear Dr Laura" letter, the proposed amendments that quote other Bible verses, as well as stuff I referenced here. Her response? Most of those are from the Old Testament, which was cancelled out when Jesus died on the cross. "But Tony", you say, "the verse against homosexuals is in Leviticus, which is in the Old Testament, and was instructions for priests". But she replies that there's another verse in Romans in the New Testament that says flat out it's wrong. I have tried to tell her I am not disputing that or arguing against that point, I am merely arguing for equal rights for a group that we shouldn't deny just because we disagree or the Bible says it's wrong. After all, after the part in Pledge of Allegiance that they're determined to keep "Under God" in, follows with "With liberty and justice for all". But to no avail. So I turn to you to help. Any info that would help me here? Mike Norton? Anybody?

Besides think of the election, or I'll go crazy. Or at the very least come up to people in this
Adding a link to a blogger Tony Pierce. Wil Wheaton recommended him, checked it out, added it to the list. Wednesday, October 27

Here's an article from our friend overseas Greg Palast uncovering the Republican's shennanigans in Florida.
Why isn't anyone on this side of the pond covering this? Is Jon Stewart right? And please get the word out on the following, both on and off-line: if anyone tries to stop you from voting, call 866-OURVOTE (866/687-8683) It is a non-partisan hotline. Friday, October 22

An organization called Win Back Respect has a powerful new ad that they're seeking contributions to air in swing states. I just sent them $20. Please consider contributing what you can.

This article brings up so many good points, I'm printing it up for the wife (who wants to vote for someone who will stop abortion, regardless of what else they do) and for work ( a co-worker had, among other things, a Bush vs Kerry charts that puts W in a good light, with no supporting sources, of course)
